Elm- A Mountainous village

Elm is a wonderful village with fantastic mountain views. It lies in Glarus canton of Switzerland. The charming village Elm has won Wakker Prize and other prizes awarded by the European Council as it is very rich in old timber buildings and mountain peaks. Elm was earlier called Elme in 1344. The baths at Wichlen were in use since the Middle Ages and are first mentioned in 1547. They were very popular until they were buried by an avalanche in 1762. Many characteristic wooden structures have survived.

Actually there is no off season in Elm though if you are looking forward to visit there to spend your summer vacation, from June 25th to November 1st 2022 is the right time. Cultural tour, climbing on the rocks, relaxing on and breezy excursions.  There are top hike areas around in Elm. You can taste their authentic food and drink.
